Director of Technical Education for Workforce Development & Program
Accountability Don Richards received his Masters degree in Health Science Education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1979. He is a licensed Respiratory Therapist, and has served as Assistant Professor and program chair of Cardiopulmonary Studies at St. Mary of the Plains College and later at Wichita State University. He also served as manager of Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics at Riverside Health Systems and the VA Medical Center in Wichita. Beginning in 1992, he served as the health science specialist at the Kansas Department of Education. Don has served as Chair of the National Consortium of Health Science Technology and Education. He is the state advisor for Health Occupations Students of America and serves on their national Board of Directors. Don came to KBOR when Career and Technical Education was transferred from KSDE. |
