The mission of the Kansas State Literacy Resource Center (SLRC) is to enhance systems, both public and private, which provide basic skills education across Kansas. The Center serves as the catalyst for collaborative efforts that address the needs of undereducated adults in Kansas. The Kansas SLRC is housed in the Adult Education Division of the Kansas Board of Regents in Topeka, Kansas. The objectives of the Kansas SLRC include support for the following efforts to enhance lifelong learning for all Kansans:
The Kansas SLRC maintains a lending library available to all Kansas Adult Education practitioners, regardless of program or agency affiliation. Copyrighted materials in text form may be checked out for eight weeks, and video and audiocassettes and supporting text are loaned for one month. One copy of non-copyrighted materials will be sent upon request and may be kept and duplicated. To ensure that borrowed materials will continue to be available, please return them on time.
