Kansas Adult Education adopted the national College and Career Readiness (CCR) Standards for Adult Education in April of 2013. The purpose of the standards, which were published by the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education, is to strengthen the links among adult education, postsecondary education, and careers.

The Comprehensive Adult Education Planner, or the Proficiency Attainment Model (PAM), is a set of modules and relevant resources that describes necessary elements to effectively serve adults in adult education programs.
