The Council of Student Affairs Officers (COSAO), established in 1983, consists of the chief student affairs officers of the Regents institutions.  COSAO reports to the Council of Presidents.  The Board's Director of Academic Affairs serves as an ex officio member.  The purpose of the Council is to consider the welfare and development of students and institutional services to meet their needs.
