ACADEMIC PROGRAM REVIEW 2012 - 2013

Individual Campus Reports

Board policy requires that, “in cooperation with the universities, the Board will maintain a program review cycle and a review process that will allow the universities to demonstrate that they are delivering quality programs consistent with their mission.” These reviews are “institutionally based and follow the departmental or unit structure of the institution” [Policy Manual, Chapter II A. 5.]

For the 2012-2013 program review cycle, Emporia State University, Pittsburg State University, the University of Kansas Medical Center and Wichita State University reviewed programs at the baccalaureate, master's and doctoral levels. Below is a brief summary of the programs reviewed by these institutions. In addition, a brief overview of the institution's review process is included.     For the 2012-2013 program review cycle, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University and the University of Kansas completed the current review cycle early and thus had no programs on which to report.  Below is a brief summary of the review cycle for each institution and an update on programs identified in previous reviews as not meeting minima standards.
