Qualified Admissions and the High School Transcript
To ensure that the Admissions Offices correctly identify the courses that the high school includes on its pre-college curriculum, Kansas high schools are asked to clearly indicate on student transcripts, or on separate forms, the courses that individual high school students have taken to complete the pre-college curriculum. It is also possible for high schools to utilize asterisks or some other notation system on the high school transcript to indicate pre-college courses the student has completed. It is important that high schools provide (i) the
pre-college courses completed by the student, Again, the submission of this information for individual students is completely voluntary. However, it will help ensure that the applications for our students are processed as effectively as possible. Students who need a grade greater than a "C" in their final semester of English (or other coursework) will be notified of "Conditional Admission" pending receipt of the final high school transcript. Seventh or eighth grade courses used to satisfy the State's pre-college curriculum requirements should be listed on the school's curriculum list and identified on the student's high school transcript. College/dual enrollment courses taken by a student may be used to satisfy the pre-college curriculum, if the high school also awards credit for the courses. ^ top ^ |
