SCOPS

The System Council of Presidents (SCOP), established in 2002, consists of the six presidents of the state universities, four presidents selected by the nineteen community colleges, one president selected by the ten technical institutions, and the president of Washburn University.

The System Council of Presidents meets to consider coordination issues and make recommendations to the Board on general policy affecting all coordinated institutions. SCOP may create permanent or ad hoc committees, composed of campus or non-campus personnel, to study selected subjects and report back to the Council.

Meetings of SCOP are held prior to the regular meetings of the Board, and at such other times as the co-chairpersons of the Council deem necessary.
