Resources for Adult Students

The  resources listed below can help you begin, resume, or finish your degree program.

The Agile Work Profiler is an assessment designed to help determine alternative career pathways that engage your current skills and interests. The AWP combines your input on how well you perform an activity with how much you enjoy it to widen your lens  on career opportunities for you. The free online AWP only takes about 10  minutes and the results are sent to your email immediately.

The Central Kansas Educational Opportunity Center (CKEOC) at Barton Community College can assist adults who want to begin or resume a degree in 33 counties that include Barton, Norton, Graham, Trego, Ness, Phillips, Rooks, Ellis, Rush, Pawnee, Smith, Osborne, Russell, Stafford, Jewell, Mitchell, Lincoln, Ellsworth, Rice, Republic, Cloud, Ottawa, Saline, Washington, Clay, Dickinson, Marshall, Riley, Geary (including Ft. Riley), Pratt, Pottawatomie, Morris, and Wabaunsee.

The University of Kansas Center for Educational Opportunity Program (CEOP) provides assistance with the college admissions process to low-income and potential first-generation college students including adults. The Center serves five counties including Douglas, Franklin, Leavenworth, Shawnee and Wyandotte.

The Wichita State University  Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) provides free counseling and assistance to adults ready to begin or resume the journey toward their educational goals -- whether that's a four-year college degree, an associate's degree or technical training to enhance your career.

The Career One Stop center sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor provides an abundance of information and tools for exploring different careers, training programs, self-assessment, and more.

Study Guides and Strategies is an independent website that includes many resources for studying, time management, writing, research, test preparation, problem solving, and other topics.
